Rogue Warrior : Robot Fighter winning big on the festival circuit!

Sony’s highly-anticipated science-fiction actioner Rogue Warrior : Robot Fighter has made its mark on the festival circuit, taking home a host of awards at two major film festivals.

It always fills me with a certain sense of joy when the little movie that could starts to really show everyone out there what its made of. Rogue Warrior: Robot Fighter is just that kind of movie. We here at 365HQ have been keeping an eye on this flick since it was sold to Sony towards the back end of 2016 and as we near its release, it is sweeping up on the festival circuit.

Tracey Birdsall the female lead, writer/director Neil Johnson and the movie itself were awarded BEST SCIENCE FEATURE and BEST VISUAL EFFECTS at the WorldFest Houston Remi Awards last week.

The film was also honored at the Los Angeles Theatrical Release Competition & Awards (LATCA) this past weekend, where it cleaned the house, winning the following awards:

The Blurb:

A few decades from now… Sienna (Tracey Birdsall), a rebellious robot-fighting arms dealer, lives on a post-apocalyptic Earth. When the cities start to fall under the control of the A.I. Scourge, a hyper-weaponized robot army, Sienna decides to leave the Earth and journey to the centre of the galaxy, seeking a mythical weapon that can neutralize any form of A.I.
Pursued by giant machines, Sienna loses everything she cares about in an effort to save the last vestiges of humanity in an A.I. controlled galaxy.

Starring alongside Birdsall are William Kircher (‘The Hobbit’’), Daz Crawford (‘’Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’’), Stephen Manley (‘’Star Trek III’’), and Marilyn Ghiggliotti (‘’Clerks’’).

Sony Distribution will release Rogue Warrior: Robot Fighter in theaters June 2. The Blu-ray release will follow on June 6, exclusive to Walmart in the U.S, we will keep you posted on UK release.
